Three Generations of Company 2

The 1977 Howe Engine #2 was picked up by its new owner on June 13th, 2005. It will spend its retirement in Malibu. (Way to go!) Before it was picked up, Mike Thomas took some pictures of three generations of Company 2 engines. On the left is the 2005 Hi-Tech model that replaced it, an on the right is the 1954 American LaFrance engine that preceeded it. The LaFrance is currently owned by Company 2 members Leo Basler, Tom Grinsell, and Kevin Laloli.

The last two photos show that the 1977 Howe was really due for replacement, as it was being held together entirely with bungee cords.
