Mutual Aid Drill

In the case of a large fire on Main Street, we would immediately request mutual aid from Fortuna and Loleta fire departments. Once piece of equipment that would be sent over is Fortuna's ladder truck, so we had a drill to become familiar with it's operation and requirements. Hose connections and radio operations were also tested to make sure ahead of time that all three departments could work together. We probably surprised a few townspeople by doing this drill on the fourth Wednesday instead of our usual third Thursday, but it was an essential planning drill.
