The fire hall was built in 1915 and was home to City Hall, Police Department and the Fire Department.

It went through a major renovation in 1997, as apparatus kept getting wider could no longer fit through the doors.

In 2009, work on the annex across the street began as the Department was once again finding it hard to fit engines and tenders into the old hall as they had continued to grow in size.
