2/2/1959 – Coppini Lane Hedge Fire
FVFD was called out to Coppini Lane for a tall hedge along the lane that had caught fire. Tragically, two firemen lost their lives during the incident. Larry Lentz and Leland Anderson were killed when a ladder they were setting touched a hidden but live electrical line. The plaque below is mounted by the front door of the FVFD fire hall.
